About the Sandra Bland Post — If You Read Mobile Forward via Apple News (beta) or RSS

Hi – if you follow Mobile Forward via Apple News or RSS, you might have seen a post I accidentally published. It was about Sandra Bland, who died in unfortunate and preventable circumstances. It was a post in her honor, urging goodwill towards others, written shortly after her death in July. … but I had decided not to publish it. Briefly, after reviewing it for fit, content, and style, I decided it wasn’t something I should publish. And so I didn’t. Until early Saturday morning, when I accidentally did just that.

As soon as I realized I had published it, I retracted it. About 30 seconds had elapsed. Unfortunately, some RSS readers, along with Apple News (beta), had already pulled it into their feeds. Subsequently, I posted a “Don’t read that last post” note to readers. Knowing it would quickly reach the same RSS readers, I deleted it, too, after about 10 minutes. Unfortunately, Apple News (beta) didn’t pull it in. So, that’s why I’m writing this: I’m aware that some of you may have seen the published post but not the subsequent explanation.

Bottom line: please ignore that post. It’s full of good intention, but it’s not something that I intended for anyone to read.

Thank you,
Hristo Ushev
